Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a grappling based martial art. Working with a partner in class, one will learn submissions (attacks), escapes, holds/pins, takedowns, and throws. We have an awesome staff of coaches and high rank BJJ students that prioritize a welcoming and friendly environment. We are teachers at heart and prioritize a safe but physically taxing class that is for both competitors and brand new students.
No Gi BJJ (rash guard and shorts) follows a similar curriculum as Gi BJJ (traditional uniform/belt). Extra emphasis on safe application of leg attacks during No Gi BJJ classes. We encourage our students to safely care for their training partners during both the training and grappling portion of the program.
Class format is typically 45-60 minutes of Partner training techniques/concepts with varying degrees of resistance and goals. Class is followed by 30 minutes of grappling rounds. New students are encouraged to train for a few weeks before grappling are welcome to stick around to work with coaches/high ranks during grappling.
