FAQ
What is class like for a First Timer? We love training people from the ground up. No experience necessary. Classes are typically around 10-20 kickboxers of varying fitness, abilities, and goals. If you already train kickboxing, we welcome you to try us out any night.Do I need gear?
No. We have clean loaner boxing gloves and shin guards for trials and new members to use. Mouth pieces are recommended to use in the glove on glove class, but not enforced.
Can I bring a friend?
Absolutely. Train with your friend or any of our members. The coach will make sure you have a good training partner for your first class either way. Often times we cycle partners to help give different members chances to work together.
What is a Pad Work class?
Pad work classes are an opportunity for us to train heavier hitting combos on Thai Pads. Classes are 45-60 minutes and involve striking with Punches, Kicks, and Knees.
What is a Glove on Glove class?
Glove v Glove classes involve us striking each other with a light to reasonable amount of force. Participants are encouraged to go their own speed. Coaches occasionally will switch around partners to help facilitate a safe and fun class.
How old to train?
Currently we are taking 16 years and up for new kickboxing members. If below 16 but interested in Kickboxing, have your parent contact
501-327-1662 to schedule an intro lesson. On occasion we allow experienced participants below 16 yrs old.
Do you spar?
Wednesday nights towards the end of class. Mouth piece and personal kickboxing gear is required. Under 18yr, we require headgear for sparring. 3 months of training is typical before sparring.
